According to the data of the Polish Green Building Council the number of green buildings in Poland has increased by 30% in the last year. We already have over 330 certified buildings. Tenants when looking for office space take into account ecological aspects but do they properly use green buildings? How to formalize the building administrator-tenant relation in this respect? Companies connected with the commercial real estate sector in Poland established a working group – GREEN LEASE GROUP which will prepare the so-called “green schedule” to the office lease agreements. The project was initiated by Galt.
Green schedule will specify obligations of landlords and tenants with respect to proper use of green buildings and which at the same time in some way will standardize currently functioning tools. Ecological performance of the building and maintaining it through conscious, environmentally friendly use means savings for both parties and that is why we want to develop a win-win solution. We want to make the document also acceptable for institutions granting certificates in LEED and BREEAM systems.
